What You’ll Need
Your Documents
The documents you will be required to submit could include:

A completed claim form

A certified copy of the death certificate of the deceased
3
BI1663 forms

A certified copy of the deceased’s and the beneficiaries’ ID books/cards

Stamped copy of Claimants bank statement
Your consultant may ask you to provide Lion Life with additional documents to assess the claim properly.

Assessment Findings
Paid within 48 hours
All claims will be processed efficiently and quickly. Funeral cover claims will be paid out in 48 hours if all the correct documentation is submitted. Life insurance pay-outs may take longer, depending on the nature of the claim, but we will attempt to process the funeral benefit within 48 hours.
