A highly respected South African business leader and co-founder of Brimstone Investment Corporation. Fred serves as Chairman of Lion of Africa Life Assurance and holds directorships at Remgro, Old Mutual, AON SA, Sea Harvest Holdings and House of Monatic. He is also a Trustee of the Business Trust, focused on job creation and human capacity development.

Paul rejoined LionLife after previously serving as CEO of Lion of Africa Life Assurance and Chairman of Lion of Africa Fund Managers. With broad senior experience across the insurance industry, he is a member of the Black Management Forum and the Association of Black Securities and Investment Professionals.

A seasoned financial executive with over two decades in accounting, auditing and executive leadership, Faizel currently serves as Company Secretary at LionLife following tenures as CEO (2020–2024) and interim CEO (2017–2019). He joined Commlife Holdings in 2008, progressing to Executive Director and overseeing financial operations across trusts, investment holdings and financial services entities.

A qualified actuary with both South African and American actuarial society designations, Darroch brings over 25 years of insurance and reinsurance experience, including a decade as Chief Actuary at Swiss Re Africa. He holds a BSc from McGill University and a Doctorate in Mathematics from Cornell University.

Managing Executive of Brimstone Investment Corporation, Nisaar holds a BBusSc (Finance) from UCT and an MBA from Stellenbosch. He chairs the CTICC board, serves on JSE-listed Oceana Group’s board, and is a board member of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra and Groote Schuur Hospital Facility Board.

Lynn brings over 20 years of life assurance expertise, having held senior management roles at Metropolitan Odyssey and Metropolitan’s Retail Executive Team. She holds an MBA from the UCT Graduate School of Business and has run her own executive coaching and management consultancy since 2007.

A Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with over 25 years in finance and corporate governance, Carol qualified at PwC and held senior roles at Mondi, British American Tobacco SA and Wesgro. She holds a BCom from Wits and BCompt Honours from UNISA, with a focus on governance, digital financial inclusion and investment in the Western Cape.
