Lion Life Proudly celebrated Youth Day with the rest of South Afric
a on the 16th of June, a day of reflection, remembrance, and celebration of the role the youth played in the shaping of the history of our nation. In honor of this special day, Lion Life threw a lighthearted in-office celebration with the theme of “Back to School” and the retro-playful ambiance. The staff was encouraged to report to work wearing school uniforms—either from their student days or any school uniform that reflected the spirit of the day. The energy and imagination were out in full swing, with blazers, ties, backpacks, and even pigtails making a very big return for the day. The play and dress-up weren’t the only things on the agenda, however—there was also a reminder of the importance of school and the lasting legacy of the youth of 1976. To keep the spirits high and minds engaged, the group participated in a quiz challenge, testing their knowledge on South African history, general trivia, and fun school topics. An award was also given to Best Dressed and Quiz Champion, so the day was a competitive yet cherished one.
Youth Day at Lion Life was not merely a celebration of the youth of our nation, but a time for our employees to reconnect, reminisce, and rejuvenate with purpose and unity.
At LionLife, we believe in honoring the past, celebrating the present, and building a brighter future—especially for our youth.
